In 2021, I became the owner of a Jazzercise franchise in Dallas, Texas. As is the case with any small business, there was a long list of things that I needed and on that list was marketing photography. I’m grateful that one of our Jazzercise members was Sarah Hansen, who is a photographer.
I reached out to Sarah and asked if she was available to work with our team of 20 instructors. I asked Sarah to take two photos of each instructor – one headshot and one full-body shot. I got so much more.
First, there were the photography sessions themselves. Sarah came in and completely transformed a space in our location into a studio with amazing lighting and equipment. Each instructor talked about how incredibly comfortable they felt as Sarah took their photos. They also expressed how much fun it was to have their pictures taken – not something that is always pleasant.
And then, there were the photos. Just amazing! Sarah went above and beyond the two photos-per-instructor that we requested to create a full portfolio for each instructor that captured the essence of each of them and presented a genuine expression of who our team is. We were all pleasantly surprised to find that many of the photos were taken when we didn’t even realize Sarah was paying attention to us. The result was a host of photos that we continue to use to this day. Sarah’s classic approach to photography ensured that the photos would have a long shelf life with great lightning, composition and a bit of fun baked into each image.
I highly recommend Sarah as a go-to person for any photography needs. I am incredibly happy that we got a chance to work with her and ecstatic about the results of her work.
