First we will have a short phone call.
Next we will meet in person or virtually. I would like to get to know you and talk about how you would like to be photographed. Your needs and wants for what we will create together. I want to create an unforgettable experience for you.
We will make a plan and start getting ready for your dream session.
Many clients end up needing a few weeks to prepare after the consultation. I also usually book out at least a few weeks depending on the demands of the season.
*Quick headshot event sessions/special offers do not include additional pre and post consulting. However, this can be added on if you would like.
I like to guide clients through wardrobe keeping with their style and personality. We usually will communicate at your consultation about this as well as through messages.
Some clients however like the option of an in-person, on-set, or virtual clothing stylist for more detailed attention. I can recommend a clothing stylist based on your wants and needs.
Either way, we want to ensure that your session is unforgettable and a special experience for you!
I am a huge fan of capturing you as you authentically are. I personally find it best to photograph with a clean face, that has had skin treatment preparations prior or at a spa.
If with makeup a natural look, as it gives a youthful glow to all ages. Bringing out the natural coloring of your skin, eyes, lips, and hair.
However if you only can see yourself with full makeup. I can recommend a variety of on-site professional agency artists, or if you have someone you work with for special occasions.

Yes, I do often photograph talent and those familiar with being on camera.
I love to photograph those who have never been photographed or it's the first time in a long time. It is my job to make you look fabulous and amazing! Anyone can look like they stepped off the pages of a magazine! Don't worry about how to pose. I will direct, and guide you - so you look relaxed, beautiful, and connected!
I have been photographing for well over 20 years. I love helping people feel comfortable in front of the camera.

This is when you come back to my studio and see all of your most beautiful portraits. This is when you will decide what you want to purchase. You will buy only what you truly love. My job is to take the most amazing portraits you have ever seen of yourself, so you want to have them all.

I have had many clients of all ages leave with a different viewpoint of themselves! My goal is that you leave feeling your authentic value, beauty, and strength.
Sarah Anna Hansen studied Commercial and Fashion Photography at Columbia College Chicago. Hansen has traveled, worked, and exhibited her photography worldwide. She has been published in a variety of magazines including Vogue Italia and Modern Luxury. She has been photographing for 20+ years and creating for as long as she can remember. She has photographed portraits of politicians including Christopher G. Kennedy. Sarah and her husband relocated to Dallas, TX in the spring of 2015. She has lived many years in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood as well as a year in Osaka-shi, Japan. Sarah and her husband are now the caregivers for her elderly mother. Sarah is an advocate of mental health and mental health awareness. Hansen is available for domestic and international commissions.
